Charlotte Y. Gibson, 88, of Topeka, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024.

She was born July 26, 1935, in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond R. and Opal (Nicolay) Briggs. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1953.

Charlotte married Kenneth Gibson on June 7, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas.

Charlotte worked for Jostens Publications for over 15 years in the billing department. She also worked for Falley’s for 10 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and watching western’s. She adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Tina) Gibson, Jerry Gibson, Karen Wentz and Jay Gibson; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gibson; her parents; son in law, Bill Wentz and daughter in law, Belinda Gibson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 11:00am-3:00pm at the Lake Shawnee Shelter House 6, 3521 SE East Edge Rd, Topeka, KS 66605. She will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, KS. In her honor, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Topeka - 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
