Age 104, passed away February 24, 2003 at a Topeka care home. She was born May 8, 1898 in Wheeling, Missouri the daughter of Pearl and Emma Smith Tracy. She has lived in or near Topeka since 1910.

She graduated from Topeka High School in 1916 and attended Emporia State Teachers College and Washburn Univeristy. She taught in Shawnee County and Topeka schools for 22 years.

She was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, The National Retired Teacher's Association, Retired Widows of World War I and Haskell Creek Club.

She was married to Charles W. Wiseman June 6, 1923 in Hutchinson, KS. He passed away July 26, 1961. Also preceded in death by a sister Vera B. Crawford .

She is survived by:

One nephew Robert R. Crawford Topeka, KS


Funeral Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel Friday,
February 28, 2003 at11:00AM. Interment will be in Mount Hope.
Cemetery. Mrs. Wiseman will lie in state from noon to 9:00PM February 27, 2003 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn United Methodist Church Auburn, KS or the Auburn Loins Club.
