Zazle Joymarkenbillings Fabert

Zazle Joy Marken Billings Fabert, 78, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011.

She was born November 19, 1932 in Eskridge, KS, the daughter of Laverne and Viola (Ross) Marken. She was a graduate of Harveyville High School.

She was a member and Past-Worthy Matron of the Dover-Nina Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Zazle married Richard D. Billings December 28, 1950. To that union were six children who survive, Jan (Mel) Jones, Peggy (MikeTurpin) Billings, Dixie (Don) Wells, Richard L. (Bonnie) Billings, Kathy (Ray) Pullen, William (Nancy) Billings; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a sister, Gladys (Wayne) Bloomfield. She married Melvin Fabert. He preceded her in death. She is also survived by 3 step-children, Jerry, Dennis and Steve Fabert

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and a step-son.

Funeral ceremonies will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Burlingame Cemetery. Mrs. Fabert will lie in state after 3 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd, Topeka, KS 66617 or to the American Heart Association, 5375 Southwest 7th St., Topeka, KS 66606.
