Youn Chung Kim, age 55, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at a Topeka hospital.
Youn was born December 7, 1960 in Andong, South Korea. He served in the Korean Army in the Special Forces.
He moved to the United States in 1987. He was self-employed as a carpenter.
Youn married Un Hui Kim on January 17, 1993. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Hannah Kim, Samantha Kim, David Kim, Daniel Kim; brothers, Youn Do Kim, Ho Yeon Kim; and sister, Myeong Ja Kim. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Private family interment will be in South Korea.
