Winifred "Rose" Robinson, 86, Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.
She was born June 11, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Gregory Leo Isaacs and Hazel (McFarland) Long.
Rose graduated from Scranton High School in 1945. She was an accountant for the Santa Fe Railroad for 44 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Santa Fe Women's Club and Santa Fe Union, the Moose Lodge and MI Singing Group.
On June 7, 1947 she married Victor Duane Robinson. He preceded her in death in 1979. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Jackie Robinson in 1996 and two brothers, Fred and Lisle Isaacs.
Survivors include her children, David B. Robinson (Rose Ann Canada), Victoria R. Calderon, Susan T. (Brad) Johnson and step-daughter, Becky Crowl, all of Topeka; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar, Topeka, KS 66611.
