Wilma C. O'Neill, 87, of Topeka, passed away Sat., Sept. 6, 2008, at a local hospital.
Wilma was born on Aug. 5, 1921, in Topeka, KS the daughter of Carl and Robena Maze.
She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Strickland Business College.
Wilma married John Joseph O'Neill on Feb. 10, 1946, in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1995.
Along with being a homemaker she also worked outside of the home during the Kansas Legislature for many years; later as a house mother at Florence Crittenton Services.
Wilma enjoyed both indoor and outdoor activities. To name a few, bowling, golfing and playing cards.
Wilma is survived by her brother, Richard Maze of Galena, IL; three daughters: Janet O'Neill, JoAnn O'Neill, Patty Rocha and her spouse, Joe Winslow and beloved grandson, Justin Rocha and his wife, Kristina.
Mrs. O'Neill will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wed., Sept. 10 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. followed by a visitation from 6-8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thurs. at Topeka Cemetery Garden Chapel.
