Wilma J. Cunningham
Wilma J. Cunningham, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Midland Hospice. She was born May 30, 1930, the daughter of Porter and Hazel (Farley) Douglas.
On June 18, 1955 in Big Delta, Alaska, she married Raphael "Ray" Cunningham. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2005. She was a 1948 graduate of Topeka High School and a 1952 graduate of Washburn University.
Survivors include: a daughter, Terri Hearrell and her husband Steven; a son, Gary Cunningham and his wife Jeanette; five granddaughters, Jessica Warren, Cassie and Breanna Cunningham, Kristen and Adrienne Hearrell, a great grandson, Colton Warren
Mrs. Cunningham will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at University United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
