Wilma "Willie" (Williams) Eiche, 95, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.
She was born November 4, 1927, in Alex, Arkansas, the daughter of George and Carmon (Dowdy) Williams.
Willie was a talented seamstress. She won several awards and shared her talents by making special dresses for her family and teaching them how to sew.
In addition to sewing, Willie was an amazing cook. She kept her family well fed and passed on many recipes that will be cherished for years to come.
She tended to her birds and garden like she tended to her family. She will always be remembered as the best Nana ever.
Wilma was married to her husband of 49 years, George Eiche, on May 7, 1948. George preceded her in death on May 23, 1997.
Her death was also preceded by her son, Clifford "Hap" Eiche (Susie).
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Krietemeyer (David); grandchildren, Andrea Cozadd (Vince), Ryan Eiche (Jennifer), Erica Boos (Brent Wineland), and Emily Collins (John); great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Boos, Jackie and Trenton Cozadd, Dena, Damen, Dayja, and Deacon Eiche, Layla and Harrison Collins, and many others who also called her "Nana".
A Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka.
