William "Bill" R. Woodard
Age 80, Topeka, passed away Monday December, 30, 2003. He was born September 2, 1923 in Elmont, Kansas the son of Cecil and Elsie Woodard. He married Dorothy A. Harvey. They later divorced. Bill worked at Meadow Gold, Ed Day Trucking, and Emerson Construction. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his son, Daniel and his wife Jeanne Woodard, Topeka; two grandchildren Joey Woodard and his wife Laura, and Jody Woodard both of Topeka... Two Sisters, Betty Speilman, Ozawkie and Faye Nixon- Green, Topeka. He was preceded in death by a son, George E. Woodard on November 14, 1979 and four sisters, Nine Hermann, MurrelTevis, Loraine Hood and Doris Chatham.
Graveside Services will be held at Rochester Cemetery at 10:00 AM Monday, January 5, 2004. Mr. Woodard will lie in state from noon until service time at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
