William Jerry White

July 18, 1933 — January 8, 2022

William Jerry White passed away in Topeka, Kansas on January 8, 2022. He was born July 18, 1933 in Biddeford, Maine to Fernald R. and Evelyn (Hatch) White.

He graduated Maine Central Institute Class of 1951. During summers he spent his time lobster fishing. Willie married Grace Henson of Topeka in 1951. He attended Bryant Business College in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon graduation they moved to Topeka in 1953 where he was employed by Harding Glass and then J.C. Sargent Mortgage Company. During these years he was a member of the Topeka Country Club and served as President for four years.
Willie loved the game of golf. After retirement he owned White Pine Christmas Tree Farm at 61st and Auburn Road. Willie was president of the Sherwood Improvement District for over 40 years and served on the Mission Township Board.

His wife Grace preceded him in death. Survivors include daughters, Dorinda Davis, Kathy (John) Stueve, all of Topeka and Ann Campbell of Kennebunkport, ME; his much loved grandchildren, Jennifer Stueve, Johnny Stueve also known as "the chairman," Kate Aube, Amber Jones; and two great grandchildren.

Willie's family will receive friends from 10-11am Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum.
