William "Bill" M. Morgan, 89, of Topeka, passed away, Sunday, March 25, 2007 at a local hospital.
Bill was born on December 13, 1917 in Topeka, KS, the son of William Joseph Morgan and Margaret Nelson.
Bill remained in Topeka his entire life, graduating from Topeka High School. He worked for and retired from Meadow Gold - Beatrice Foods running a milk route. He was a 50+ year member of the Masonic Temple, Golden Rule #90. Bill also enjoyed drawing cartoons.
Bill married Maxine Sims and they spent 27 years together. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Morgan and Virginia Atchison of Topeka.
Survivors include one sister, Beverly C. Holloway of Las Vegas, NV; two nieces of Las Vegas, NV; one niece and nephew of Ozawkie, KS; two great nieces and one great nephew; one step-son and one step-daughter and numerous step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Bill will lie in-state after 2:00 p.m. today at the funeral chapel where family will greet friends from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
