Dr. William "Bill" Leeds, 61, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017.
He was born October 17, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Bill is the son of Joseph Leeds and Ruth Leeds (nee Susser). After graduating from Florida State University he attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Leeds founded Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in 1999, where he practiced pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
In addition to his beloved dogs, Chubbie and Frank, He leaves his wife, Luanne Leeds, daughters, Casey Leeds of Los Angeles, California, Samantha Leeds, of the home, and son, 2nd Lt. Alex Leeds, of Silver Springs, Maryland, brother Brian Leibowitz (Jerilynne) and sister, Myrna Solod (Jerry). Other survivors include his beloved and loyal staff.
He was preceded in death by sister, Jeanie Silversmith.
Bill was a lifelong learner. He enjoyed flying, fishing with his wife and brother, spending time with the family pets, and damaging his home with tools, which he had no earthly idea how to use.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Temple Beth Sholom, 4200 SW Munson, Topeka. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
