William J. Hepp, 82, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, after many travel and life adventures. He was born on January 7, 1930, in Troy, NY. On December 1, 1986, William married Debra A. Schmidt. She survives.
William was a graduate of Troy High School and later worked as Director of Youth Services with YCAT for over 40 years, 13 years of which were also spent with Shawnee County Reserves, attaining the rank of Captain. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, who served in the Korean Conflict. Bill was a life member of VFW Post 1650 and American Legion Post 400.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Hepp of Topeka; sons, Charles Myers of Mayetta, KS, Craig Ham of Ogalalla, NE, and Kevin Hepp of Lecompton, KS; daughter, Maggie Davis of Topeka; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Mount Hope Cemetery, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St # 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
