William Henry
William Henry, 63, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Bill was born August 17, 1947, in Atchison, Kansas, to Louise and Maurice Henry.
He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965. He then earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Kansas State University. After working for the Wichita Eagle-Beacon for several years, he attended law school at Washburn University and received his Juris Doctorate. He practiced law for two years in Dodge City before returning to Topeka where he lobbied for a number of associations.
He is survived by two daughters, Alison Henry, Denver, CO, and Amber Henry, Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by his brother, Chad Heatherly, San Diego, CA.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th, Topeka, KS 66604. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 837 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211.
