William Mills Hall
William M. Hall, 80 , Topeka, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 at a local care center.
Bill was born December 8, 1924 in Topeka, the son of Louis S. and Elizabeth Mills Hall.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 1943. Bill entered the Army Air Corp and served as a pilot during World War II. He returned to Topeka and attended Washburn University. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Bill attended the Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin.
Bill joined Merchants National Bank in 1948 and retired as a Vice President after 41 years of service.
He was a member of the Downtown Lions Club and an officer and director with the Family Service and Guidance Center. Bill was also active in the Topeka Chamber of Commerce.
He married Jane Duff in June of 1946 in Topeka. She died April 7, 2005. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Mastin, Florida; a son, Louis Hall, Topeka; Granddaughter, Romy Mastin, Topeka and three great granddaughters, Kasheena Riley, Adrienne Boyd and Amber Boyd, all of Topeka. A brother, Stephen Hall, Topeka also survives.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Hall will lie in state at the funeral home after 1:00 P.M. on Monday.
