William Gordon
William P. Gordon, 41, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Westwood Manor. He was born on July 21, 1969 in Orange City, California to David J. Gordon and Dessie L. (Warren) Ortiz.
William enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved family holidays and spending time with his friends. His passion was loving animals. William had a huge heart, he never knew a stranger.
William was injured in February of 1998 and lived the remainder of his life in a nursing home.
He is survived by his son Michael; his parents Dessie L. (Julio) Ortiz of Tecumseh, David J. (April) Gordon of Hoyt; his siblings, John Gordon of Oklahoma, Alyse, Audra and Adam Gordon all of Hoyt; his aunt Mary Alphin of Missouri and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunts and uncles.
A gathering with family and friends will be on Wednesday, August 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 926 SE Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh, KS. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arragnements. Memorial contributions may be made to Westwood Manor, 5015 SW 28th St, Topeka, KS 66614 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd, Topeka, KS 66617.
