William Fleischer

William "Bill" Fleischer passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at his home with his family present. He was born July 15, 1942 in Kansas City, Mo. to William and Mary Fleischer. Bill graduated from Hoyt High School and attended Washburn University. He married Karen Guy Sept. 6, 1964.

He recently retired as Fleet Coordinator of AAA Kansas and was previously a service manager for several local automobile dealerships. His passions included hunting, fishing, boating, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: His wife Karen, of the home; Daughter, Terri (David) Dean, Ozawkie; Sons, Troy (Amy) Fleischer, Ozawkie; Todd (Staci) Fleischer, Topeka; 7 grandchildren and one brother, Robert (Janet) Fleischer, Tx.

Bill will lie in state beginning 10:00 a.m., Sunday, April 20, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m. that afternoon. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 21 with burial to follow at Hoyt Cemetery.
