William Cloyes

William "Bill" Guy Cloyes passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008. He was born July 16, 1930 in Madison, KS the son of Ralph S. and Gladys M. "Mordica" Cloyes.
Bill moved to Topeka in 1965. He worked at TARC until retirement. He was a member of TARC Senior Services and First Presbyterian Church in Topeka. Bill lived in a group home at 5936 SW 10th Terr.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn R. White and her husband William J. "Bill" White, Topeka; Niece, Debra A. Kemp, Topeka; three great nephews, Jason W. Spencer, Ohio; Jeffrey R. Spencer and his wife Jennifer, Topeka; and Robert M. "Buddy" Kemp, Topeka; and one great-great niece, Lillian Faith Spencer, Topeka.
Bill was a kind and compassionate friend to all who knew him and always a gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
Bill will lie in-state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel beginning 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21st and family will greet friends from 7-8:30 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday October 22nd at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
