Willard Bryant

Willard H. Bryant, 80, Topeka, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. He was born in Commerce, Oklahoma, the son of Walter C. and Eva Estella Meier Bryant.
Willard graduated from Topeka High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Capitol Post #1 of the American Legion, Golden Rule Lodge #90 A.F. and A.M., and Arab Shrine Temple of Topeka.
He worked for the Tecumseh Power Plant for 45 years.
He married Mary M. Redmon, January 31, 1948 in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara Bryant, Topeka; a son Brian Bryant, Perry; a brother, Walter Bryant, Topeka; and two grandsons.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2005 at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by a U.S. Navy funeral detail.
Mr. Byrant will lie in state after 12:00 noon Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
