Willa Jean Johnson, 93, of Topeka, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2018. Willa Jean was born in Emporia, Kansas on February 10, 1925 to the late Orville and Hazel Saylors. She graduated from Emporia High School and attended Emporia State University. She worked for KP&L after moving to Topeka and was a lifetime member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening and dancing.
She married Archie Wolcott and gave birth to a daughter, Bonnie. Later, after a divorce, she remarried Ernest Anderson. Her second marriage resulted in two daughters, Robin and Kristen. After Ernest passed away, Willa Jean married Ray Johnson.
Willa Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristen Anderson and three former husbands, Archie Wolcott, Ernest Anderson and Ray Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Coates and Robin Shrimplin; a brother, Orville Saylors; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at First Christian Church (1880 SW Gage Boulevard, Topeka, KS 66604) with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery will follow.
