Wilford L. Neiderhauser

Wilford L. Neiderhauser, 73, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017.

He was born December 1, 1943, in Davies County, MO, the son of Wilfred and Virginia (Bridgeman) Neiderhauser and Lovella "Peggy" Neiderhauser.

He graduated from Central High School in 1962. Following his education he served in the United States Army, assigned with the Army of Occupation in Berlin, Germany from 1964 to 1967.

He is survived by daughters, Virginia (Don) DeBoard, Vanessa (Justin) Armstrong; sons, Victor Neiderhauser, Vincent Neiderhauser; sisters, Charlotte (Robert) Brinkman, and Carol Davis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Catherine Neiderhauser; a brother, Johnny Neiderhauser; and two grandchildren.

Wilford enjoyed spending time with and going on outings with the other residents at the care facilities in which he spent time. The family greatly appreciates the excellent care that he received at several local care facilities, as well as the VA Hospital.

A graveside service with military honors will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS.

Wilford will lie in state from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
