Wildena Leota Krulic, 90, of Topeka, KS passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
Wildena was born April 11, 1919 in Douglass, KS to Charles and Ella Mae (Adams) Bledsoe. She attended El Dorado Junior College, earning her teaching certificate, and taught grade school in Butler County for many years. In 1940, Wildena wed Jacob Krulic, who passed away in 1949. Wildena lived in Ponca City, OK for 21 years and she has been a Topeka resident since 1999. Wildena was a member of First Christian Church, 66 Golden Rule Rebekah Lodge in Tonkawa, OK, and the Douglass High School Alumnae Association.
Survivors include, her daughter, Judy Hays, of Topeka, two grandchildren; Victor Hays of Topeka and Sylvia Kay and husband, Brian Carter of Manhattan, KS, a great-grandson, Ian Carter of Manhattan, KS and a sister, Mary Lumis, of Robinson, IL. Wildena is preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, a sister, Jean Stevens, a brother, Raymond Bledsoe, an infant sister, and both parents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2:00 pm, at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Ponca City, OK. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to The American Heart Association or your local Animal Shelter. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
