Wilbur Eugene Hunter, 91, Topeka, died Friday, April 15, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital.
Wilbur was born April 24, 1913 in Denton, KS, the son of John Blair and Ida Mable Hennigh Hunter. He graduated from Howard High School in 1932 and from the Kansas State Agricultural College in 1937. He served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the European theater.
Wilbur married Gladis Joy Gaumer on October 27, 1941 in Oberlin, KS. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters: Lynne Gaumer Flanders of Overland Park and Janet Hunter Woerner of Yucaipa, CA; one son, Thomas Hunter, McPherson and five granddaughters, one grandson and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Jack Hunter, Belle Vista, AR., and a siter, Loys Meredith of Wheaton, IL.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the Multipurpose Room of Trent Plaza at Aldersgate Village. Inurnment will be private.
