Waneitta May Hudson Rockhold, 83, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014.
She was born June 4, 1931, in Reamsville, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford Haas and Zelpha (Smith) Haas Breitenstein.
She was a CNA and CMA in the Rossville and Topeka area. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 1 and the Moose Lodge.
On June 4, 1969 she married John L. Hudson in Topeka. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2000. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Retana and Sondra Triebwasser, brother, Fredrick Haas, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Waneitta married Robert L. Rockhold on September 5, 2008 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Junietta (Bob) Kuhlman, Vera Dean Lewman, Clifford "Gene" McGreevy, Lenita (Jerry) McGreevy-Hunter, Cheryl (Alfred) TenEyck and Johnney (Jennifer) Hudson, six siblings, Darlene Minkler, Raymond (Pat) Haas, Norman D. (Nikki) Haas, Norma Jean Dannenburg, Alberta Sweat, Helen (Keith) Payne, who all called her "Sis", twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Avenue, Topeka. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, June 19 at the funeral home.
