Walter Clark

Walter Eugene "Gene" Clark, 92, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at a local care center.

Gene was born May 19, 1914 in Topeka, the son of Walter and Faye (Barnes) Clark.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Court Reporter.

Gene was employed by the Veteran's Administration as a Stenographer for many years.

He married Elizabeth Bluebell Bartel on October 30, 1950 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include sons; Richard Clark, Angwin, CA, John Clark, Olsburg; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a brother, Harley Clark, Topeka; and two sisters, Constance Buckner, Topeka and Mary Bogle, Loma Linda, CA.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the Schaffer Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Otis, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2435 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
