OBITUARY: Walter Eldon Chilson
Walter Eldon Chilson, 79, Topeka, died Tues., March 25, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1928, at Corning, the son of Walter William and Mildred F. (Kimball) Chilson.
Walter was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the 101st Airborne. He was a self-employed masonary contractor and a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers; Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion; and Moose Lodge # 555.
He was married to Esther L. Malloy on April 18, 1948, at Holton. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky; sisters: Gwen, Leah, and Wanda; and a brother: Dean.
Surviving are his wife, Esther, of the home; 4 sons and daughters-in-law: Rodney and Susan Chilson of Topeka, Scott and Donna Chilson of Memphis, TN, Mark and Janel Chilson of Overland Park, and Doug and Kelly Chilson of Topeka; 7 grandchildren: Shelby, Tyler, Brooke, Nolan, Isabel, Emily, and Casey; and twin brothers: Ron Chilson of Mill Creek, WA, and Don Chilson of Dallas, TX.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., March 28, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence.
