Von Edward Anneler, Sr., 79, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013, at Kansas Medical Center in Andover, KS. He was born on June 19, 1933, in Sylvia, KS, to Earl and Ruth (Shull) Anneler. He was an active member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge #90, A.F. & A.M., Arab Shriners, as well as being a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion Capitol Post #1.
He is survived by his daughter, Vonnita Elliott of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Von E. Anneler, Jr. and Thomas Joseph Anneler of Augusta, KS; one brother, Garland Anneler of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Peggy Yeakley of Witter, AR; 4 granddaughters, Tina Love of Scranton, KS; Christy Pennington, Brianne Oliver-Barnard and Karamae Legler of Topeka; 4 grandsons, Dustin Legler and Bryce Christensen of Topeka; Nick Anneler of Wichita, KS; and Bryan Anneler of Kansas City, KS; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by one brother, Lynn Anneler, and one grandson, Brandon Legler. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, Jan 5, 2013, at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan 04, 2013, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka.
