Vivian Pauline Elliott, 93, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
She was born December 19, 1918, in Greensburg, KS, the daughter of Walter and Leuella (Einsel) Rice. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University.
Mrs. Elliott was a member of the First United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women; Chapter CS of P.E.O.; A.A.U.W.; West Hills Garden Club and Topeka Home Economics, all of Topeka. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Star of Hope Chapter, Order of Eastern Star #193, Greensburg. She served as President of Wheatbelt Girl Scout Council. She retired as a 10 year member of Board of United Methodist Youthville.
Vivian married Lloyd Pressley Elliott on August 2, 1941 in Greensburg, KS. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2011. Survivors include a daughter, Linda R. (Harry) Fegley, Denver, CO; and a son, Steven R. (Barbara) Elliott, Kansas City, MO; and a brother, Kenneth Rice, Greensburg, KS. She was preceded in death by a brother Warren Rice.
A funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Cremation will follow the ceremony. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A graveside inurnment service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, KS.
