Vivian B. Nelson, 86, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born on May 31, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of Earl and Faye Shepardson Bozarth.
She graduated from Topeka High School and Dodd's School of Business.
Vivian was employed 38 years with the Santa Fe Railroad in the Superintendent of Car Service Department retiring in 1979.
She attended the First United Methodist Church.
Vivian married Garland Jarvis in 1949. They later divorced. She married Charles D. Nelson June 22, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1975. Survivors include a brother, Edwin Bozarth, a sister, Virginia Dicke, seven nieces and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Erma Dicke and Audrey Metzger.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson will lie in state after 12:00 noon Friday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.
