Vivian Lynd Marshall was born Nov. 15, 1920, passed away March 12, 2006 in Fairfield Bay, AR. She graduated from Ellis High in 1938.
Vivian received her bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's College in Leavenworth and her master's degree from Emporia State University. Vivian's educational career was with USD 501 in Topeka as a teacher and counselor, except for six years at the American Independent School in Ansbach, Germany and Neosho Rapids High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Fred Marshall; a son, Richard Marshall; parents, Miles M. and Donna Lynd; a sister, Genevive; brothers, Miles and James; brothers-in-law, Robert Kutnink and Marion Weidler.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Don Zimmerman; daughter, Dawna Marshall Parker(Richard), Fairfield Bay, AR; son, Kevin Marshall(Ann), Woodland Hills, CA; sisters, Fawn Kutnink, Manhattan, Donna Weidler, Topeka, Sharon Morneau(Geoff), Denver, Sheila Latham(Dee), Stockton; brothers, Harold Lynd(Lynn), Topeka and J.D. Lynd(Beverly), Huron, S.D.; step-son, Peter Zimmerman(Marilyn), St. Louis, MO; step-daughters, Kathy Hardison(Rick), Mohamet, IL., Loisann Arnold(Bob), Northville, MI; and Julia Probasco(Tom), Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, one great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and step- grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held March 15 in Fairfield Bay and 11:00 am, Saturday, March 18, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
