Virginia L. Cromley, 85, of Topeka passed away Saturday Feb. 11, 2006 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born May 25, 1920 in Dover, Arkansas, the daughter George Washington and Columbia Darthula "Dolly" Roth Hobbs.
She and her mother moved to Kansas at the age of 18 and resided in Topeka until her passing. She was a homemaker and an avid reader. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing.
She was preceded in death by 9 sisters.
Survivors include three daughters; Lana Gardner, Oskaloosa, Sharon Boger, Topeka and Shirley Myers, Overland Park; a son, Danny Smith, Topeka; a brother, Raymond Hobbs, Eldorado, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
