Virginia "Ginny" Miller, 79, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.
She was born June 26, 1943, in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Kathryn (Vespestad) Gordon. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1961. On July 25, 1964, she married her high school sweetheart Bruce L. Miller.
Ginny was truly defined by her heart. She held very close relationships with her family, always putting them first, and would sacrifice whatever she needed to ensure they were cared for. She was a devoted military wife for 30 years until Bruce's retirement from the Air Force. She was also a very supportive mom and active with Girl Scouts in her youth, and later served as her daughters' Girl Scout troop leader, making such a positive impact on them and so many other girls in the program. She assisted as a Sunday school teacher, worked in various school districts and daycares. She loved kids and they loved her. She doted on her grandkids, never missing a single activity, from dance recitals to soccer games. In addition to a being loving wife, mother, grandmother, and role model, Ginny was extremely organized, had a brilliant sense of humor, a total Elvis fanatic and was known to be a walking medical encyclopedia. She was a delightful cook and had amazing candy making skills. She was also very talented at cross stitch, painting, and quilting.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce; two daughters, Lori (Mark) Neddermeyer and Lisa Miller all of Topeka; sister, Elaine Harden; two brothers, David Gordon and Richard P. Gordon; grandchildren, Cale Neddermeyer and Allison Naill; and great-grandson, Kayson Neddermeyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Linda Cordero and Kathy Draeger, and grandchildren, Braden Neddermeyer and Madison Naill.
