Age 92, passed away January 12, 2003 at Midland Hospice Center in Topeka, KS. She was born August 10, 1910 in Gladstone, MO the daughter of J.L. and Margert Stephens Lawrence.
Mrs. Kraus was employed as a dietician at Flint Hills Care Center now known as Heritage Village of Eskridge, KS. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Topeka.
She was married to Ross A. Kraus July 18, 1929 in Junction City, KS. He passed away August 27, 1984. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a half brother, one daughter, one grandson, one grandaughter, one great grandson.
Survivors: One daughter: Dorothy Stevens Merrillville, IN
Three Sons: Arden Kraus Twentynine Palms, CA
David Kraus Findley, Ohio
Michael Kraus Topeka, KS
14 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Garden Chapel at Topeka Cemetery 11:00 AM
Thursday, January 16, 2003, Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Kraus will lie in state from noon Wednesday January 15, 2003 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel until service time. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM that evening at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Center, 220 SW Frazier, Topeka, KS 66614.
