Violet J. Hunter, 75, of Topeka, passed away, Friday, June 27, 2003.
She was born June 22, 1928 at Topeka, KS the daughter of Earl and Leona (Anderson) Holmes.
She married Lawrence Ray Hunter May 6, 1946 at Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death in 1982. Survivors include:
two sons, Larry Hunter Meriden, KS
Gary Hunter North Carolina
one brother, Pete Holmes Topeka, KS
one sister, Barbara Clark Peabody, KS
7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at the Denison Cemetery. Mrs. Hunter will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Adult Services, P.O. Box 363, Meriden, KS 66512.
