Vera Jane (Wheeldon) Casner, 85, passed away on October 7, 2016 at Midland Hospice House. She was born August 12, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas to Albert H. Wheeldon and Eva Leo (Fury) Wheeldon. She went to Lincoln and East Topeka Jr. High School. She married Roy M. Casner January 19, 1952. He passed away November 21, 2015.
She enjoyed taking trips to Colorado to go camping, crocheting and knitting.
She is preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Vernon Wheeldon; three daughters, Joyce, Tammy and Teresa.
Vera is survived by her daughter, Donna Wells of Kiefer Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Private burial will take place at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. A small family service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel 1321 SW 10th Topeka, Kansas 66604.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House 200 SW Frazier Circle Topeka, Kansas 66606
