Velma P. Crider

Velma P. Crider, 91, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Aldersgate Village nursing home. She was born March 15, 1915 in West Mineral, KS, the daughter of James E. and Julia F. Richard. She attended school in Kansas City and Valley Falls and graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1934. Velma married Fred L. Crider on November 29, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1980. Survivors include one daughter, Ellen Saguid of Mililani, Hawaii, one son, Gary Crider of Topeka, four grandsons, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
