Valda D. Burney, 88, of Topeka, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at her home.
She was born January 23, 1922 in Iantha, MO, the youngest of five children of Julius Clyde and Lubinda (Chandler) Dudgeon.
Valda married William "Bill" Burney on July 4, 1941 in Lockwood, MO. He survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Phyllis (Bill) Faulk of Topeka and Jill (Brett) Mathy of Home, KS; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burney was cremated. Memorial ceremonies will be 3 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka.
