Vada Hartpence
Vada M. Phenneger Ramsey Hartpence, 79, of Topeka, passed away at a local hospice house on Saturday, February 19, 2005.
She was born October 6, 1925 in Sedgwick, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew and Flossie Ragan Phenneger. She married Clinton G. Ramsey Jr. on July 22, 1941. He died November 11, 1976.
Vada later married William Hartpence on June 25, 1977. They were divorced.
She was employed by Adams Business Forms for over 20 years. She retired in 1987.
She is survivied by three children: Jacqueline Williams, Tulsa, OK; Kathleen Arbogast, Topeka and Lane Ramsey, Salina, KS; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: Delon Phenneger of Escondido, CA.
Funeral services wil be held on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town chapel. Mrs. Hartpence will lie in state after 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
