Tyler Middendorf

Tyler Alan Middendorf, 19, Independence, MO, formerly of Topeka, was killed on Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Independence, MO.

Tyler was born October 3, 1987 in Topeka, the son of Scott and Janet (Wilkins) Middendorf.

He was a 2006 graduate of Grain Valley, Missouri High School and was attending Metro Community College at Blue River in Missouri.

Survivors include his mother, Janet Middendorf, Topeka; father and step mother, Scott and Kelly Middendorf, Grain Valley, MO; brothers, Chad Johnson, Topeka, Brad Benny, Kansas City, MO, Kolten Middendorf, Grain Valley, MO; sisters, Bethany Benny, Grain Valley, MO, Keely Middendorf, Topeka, Shayna Middendorf, Topeka; grandparents, Phil and Rita Wilkins, Topeka, Tanya Howard, Topeka, Janice and Gary Williams, Missouri, Emily and Robert Hillsdale, Minnesota; great grandparents, Avis Beer, Sabetha, and Vida Wells, Topeka, Mary Lineberry, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Middendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial wil be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Tyler will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitaiton will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
