Timothy Ray "Tim" Wright, 61, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, at his home.
Tim was born June 26, 1954, in Emporia, KS, to Emmett and Beverly (Dow) Wright. He joined the Navy after high school and was stationed aboard the USS Paul. For 29 years he worked for the State of Kansas as a construction supervisor. Tim was active in the Boy Scouts. Other interests he had were the Kansas Hunter Education Program and most recently was a concealed carry instructor.
He is survived by his three sons, Robert (Angelina) Wright, Stephen Wright both of Topeka, and Thomas (Kelly) Wright of Hilliard, OH; granddaughter, Alyssa Carriere; two grandsons, Aron Ross and Zachary Wright; sister, Teresa Repp; three brothers, Daniel Wright, Theodore Wright, and Alexander Wright; and ex-wife, Karen Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS.
