Timothy P. Evans

Timothy Paul Evans, 70, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born on July 21, 1937 in Valley Falls. He graduated from Hayden High School in 1955 and joined the Army serving in Germany. Tim attended Washburn University and Kansas State University where he majored in landscape architecture and horticulture. He was employed in the construction business and was a member of Carpenters Local No. 1445. Tim was a member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral where he served as an usher. He enjoyed nature, gardening, jazz, classical music and K-State basketball. Tim married Phyllis Curtiss on December 19, 1964. She survives. Other survivors include three brothers and five sisters. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thurs., Nov. 1, 2007, in St. Mary's Chapel at Grace Episcopal Cathedral. Inurnment will take place in The Chapel of the Resurrection Columbarium. Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Episcopal Cathedral, 701 S.W. 8th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603 or the charity of donor's choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
