Thomas Allan Repp, 88, Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2005 at his home.
He was born April 15, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the son of George Washington and Dorothy June Talcott Repp. He attended Morgan Park Junior College in Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Army at Camp Atterbury, IN from 1945-1946, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Thomas was the Vice President of Pension Marketing before he retired from Security Benefit Life in 1981. He had been a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross. Thomas had a great passion for duplicate bridge and was a Life Master. He was a member of the Topeka Duplicate Bridge Club for 25 years. Thomas was a member of the Downtown Topeka Kiwanis for 35 years. He was President of the Downtown Topeka Kiwanis from 1980-1981.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Repp and his sister, Marian Simms. He married Marguerite Kallgren on December 26, 1938. They divorced. He married Caryl Goldman on August 10, 1948, in Chicago, IL. She died July 4, 1980. He married Lois Shultz on July 30, 1981 in Tulsa, OK. She survives. Other survivors include a son, John Repp and his wife Carol, Pequot Lakes, MN; a daughter , Allison Repp, Topeka; a stepson, Gary Brown and his wife, Kathy, Denver, CO; a stepdaughter, Sherry Yoho and her husband Alex, Topeka; three granddaughters, four step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 17, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. His body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, KS. Cremation is planned for a later date. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence at a later date.
