Thomas "Tom" G. King, 52, of Topeka, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, October 23, 2015.
Tom was born on October 28, 1962 in Topeka, KS the son of James D. and Beatrice J. King. Tom graduated from Topeka West High School and retired from USD 501 School District (TWHS /HPHS) after 25 years of devoted service. Tom was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Tom was an avid KU Jayhawks/Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan and loved to volunteer and cook.
Tom is survived by son, Marcus King, grandson, Gianni "The Man" King, his mother, Beatrice King, brothers, Jimmy H. (Loretta) King, Vincent King, sisters, Debbie "B" King, Kathy King, Genevieve King, and Marie Landry (John Manske) as well as many nieces, nephews other extended family members.
Tom was preceded in death by his father and brother, Richard King.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel in Topeka. The private burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gianni King College Fund in c/0 Educational Credit Union of Topeka.
