Theodore A. Klamm
70, Tecumseh, passed away Thursday, July 29th, 2004 at his home.
He was born July 10, 1934 in Topeka, the son Anthony and Velva Currey Klamm. He served two years in the Navy. He was a member of the National Guard and worked as a small arms repairman for the shops for several years, after which he worked for Henry Mfg. in Topeka.He went to work for Goodyear Tires in 1962, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Klamm was a member of Golden Rule Lodge # 90 A.F.&A.M., York Rite, The Scottish Rite, Arab Shrine Temple and the Media Grotto.He participated for a time in taking children to the Shriners Childrens Hospital in St. Louis. He helped the Shrine with Friday night bingo until his health would no longer allow it.He was also a memberof the'32' roadsters in the Shrine.
He was married to Darlene Morrisfor 32 years. They were divorced. They had three children.
He is survived by one daughter; Debra J. Rensing and her husband Jesse; two sons;Kenneth A. Klamm, Donald D. Klamm and his wife Rhonda, all of Topeka, two grandsons; Stephen W. Allen and Joshua D. Klamm; two grand daughters; Amber and Elizabeth of Topeka, and one great- grand daughter, Corie of Wichita. He had one brother, Bill Klamm and his wife Phyllis of Wichita. He had many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss him.
A funeral service will be held at11:00a.m. Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial with masonic services will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Ted will lie in state at the funeral home after 12:00 p.m., Monday August 2. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. that evening where the family will greet friends and relatives.
