Thelma I. Minor, 105, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
She was born April 29, 1914, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Isabella (Hodge) Kendall.
She retired from Stormont-Vail Health Center as a ward secretary in 1977. While working at Stormont she signed the majority of birth certificates at the hospital.
She was a member of the Topeka Travel Club and enjoyed traveling. She was also an avid reader and Friend of the Library. Thelma married Eugene W. Minor in 1934 in Oskaloosa, KS.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanell Wilder; nine grandchildren, Glen, Scott, Steven (Christina), Joel (Sara), Andrew, Christopher Wilder, Kelly (Stacey) Streeter, Melissa Edwards, Jessica Edwards; ten great-grandchildren, Andrew Brendilinger, Sarah, Hannah, Alora, Luke, Ryan, Katie Wilder, Adam, Alex and Amber Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vana G. Edwards, and husband.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 pm., Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Penwell-Gabel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Family will greet friends a half hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
