Thelma Hilbert
Thelma J. Hilbert, 88 of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on Oct 10, 1920 in Topeka, Kansas to Cecil and Pearl Collier.
Thelma graduated from Topeka High School and Clark's Business College. She was a court clerk for 19 ½ years. On August 29, 1939 she married J.L. Seyler in Topeka. She later married William H. Hilbert on May 19, 1989 in Independence, MO. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2006. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Beulah Chapter #34 for over 50 years.
She is survived by her son, Joe Seyler of Topeka; her brother Don Collier and his wife Carolyn of Olathe; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Hilbert's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd #A, Topeka, KS 66604.
