Thelma Hannah Flanders, 92, of Meriden, passed away, Monday, January 2, 2006.
She was born in the Seabrook area of Topeka, January 5, 1913 the daughter of Emory T. and Grace Beary Hannah.
She worked in the office for Mr. W. H. Palmer of Palmer News from 1931 until 1936, and in later years she did some temporary work at Southwestern Bell.
She was married to Bruce St. Elmo "Dutch" Flanders March 23, 1935. He preceded her in death May 27, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a son Arthur Lee Flanders in 1992 and two brothers, Daryl and Harry Hannah. Survivors include, one daughter, Donna J. Willmon, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren
Funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery Garden Chapel. Mrs. Flanders will lie in state after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
