Thea Crabtree

Thea Aleta Crabtree, 89, of Topeka, passed away, Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.

She was born September 27, 1914 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Allen and Elvia (May) Berry. She was a graduate of Washburn High School.

Mrs. Crabtree was a homemaker and an active volunteer at Sumner Elementary School.

Thea was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

She married Orion Franklin Crabtree, June 22, 1935 at First Assembly of God, Topeka. He preceded her in death June 2, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Elton, Roy, and John Berry. Survivors include:
three sons, Leonard Crabtree Prairie Grove, AK Steven Crabtree Topeka, KS
Rick Crabtree Topeka, KS
two daughters, Sheryl Stafford Tecumseh, KS
Carol Munoz Topeka, KS
two brothers, Cletus Berry Topeka, KS
Rev. Willis Berry Loveland, CO
11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at the Grantville Cemetery. Mrs. Crabtree will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
