Terron W. "Brownie" Brown, 74, Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Aldersgate Village.
Terron was born September 18, 1938 in Junction City, the son of Hiram H. and Almeda (Ocamb) Brown. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1956 and attended Emporia State Teachers College. He also served in the Army Reserve.
He was employed as a Security Guard with the State of Kansas, Capital Police, for 22 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Terron married Marcia Berggren on August 16, 1974 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include brother, Roger Brown, San Diego, CA; sister, Cynthia Morris, Gardner, KS; and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Steve and Denis Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Terron will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
