Teresa Gayle Turnbull, 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Teresa was born in Wichita in 1954 to James and Wilma (Boswell) Hess, grew up in Mulvane and later graduated from Junction City High School in 1972. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Kansas in Speech Pathology and worked in the public school system and private speech pathology for over 40 years. She loved reading and watching reruns of "Law & Order".
She leaves behind her husband, James, and her son Spencer Holdren. She was married to Lyle "Skip" Holdren from 1979 to 2000.
Celebration of life visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604.
Memorials may be left in Teresa's memory to the Friends of the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library Foundation, 1515 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
